Born in New York City, Louis Burnett signed "Burnett" was a figure and landscape painter who studied at the Art Students League, New School of Social Research, and Educational Alliance in New York. He is recognized with his paintings of beautiful children, floral still life, nudes, café scenes and facets of romantic realism. His work has been favorably reviewed by art critics including the New York Times, Herald Tribune, Art News, The Arts, and many others. Exhibitions include: * Allied Artists of America * American Artists Professional League * National Academy of Design- * National Arts Club * Rockport Art Association * Whitney Museum of American Art He is represented in the permanent collection of the Norfolk VA Museum of Art.
