Framed in gilded frame. E.H. Allerton was a late 19th early 20th Century painter. His impressionistic landscapes are full of color, warmth, and expression. He mainly painted fall landscapes in Pennsylvania, upstate New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

He was represented by Grand Central Gallery in NYC, as well as many fine New Jersey, and Philadelphia galleries in the early 20th Century. Not much more is known about this artist.
