A circa 1850 French "Secretaire a Abbatant" or desk in solid cherry with a fossilstone top.
The superior quality wood is exceptionally blonde. The interior has been removed to make space for a TV or better yet, your computer workstation! The lock on the desk drawer has two positions, depending on whether you want to lock only the desk or both the desk and the top drawer. The bottom half shows two paneled doors concealing the original shelf and having with a later-added drawer.
The gray and white marble top shows fossilized limpet and other shells.
Measurements:Stands 55" tall, and the marble top measures 40" wide by 18" deep.
